Five things that change the number
If two quotes for the same job differ a lot, the answer is almost always in this list.
Depth and length of the run
A lateral four feet down is a different job from one at twelve. Length drives material and labour on any trenchless method, which is why lining and bursting are quoted per foot.
What is on the surface above it
A line under open lawn is straightforward. One under a driveway, patio or mature planting carries restoration cost that often exceeds the plumbing itself — which is exactly when trenchless pays for itself.
Whether there is an accessible cleanout
A proper cleanout makes most jobs faster and cheaper. Without one, access has to be created first, and that is additional work on every future visit too.
Pipe material and condition
Sound PVC, scaled cast iron and century-old clay each call for different methods and different equipment. This is what the camera inspection settles before anyone quotes.
Permitting
Sewer lateral replacement and most structural repairs require permits, and connections here fall under WSSC jurisdiction. We handle the process and flag any schedule impact up front.

No. Estimates are free, and for sewer line work the camera inspection that informs the estimate is included when you proceed with the repair.
Yes. We quote flat-rate after diagnosing the problem, and that is the number you pay. If we open something up and find a genuinely different problem than the one diagnosed, we stop and re-quote before continuing — we never simply add to the bill.
No. There is no after-hours, weekend or holiday surcharge. A 2am emergency call is quoted at the same rates as a Tuesday afternoon appointment.
